Meet Lauren, from FXA Calligraphy based out of North Shore, Massachusetts.

I am going to start blog features of my favorite wedding vendors.
I completely understand how most bride & grooms are feeling at the beginning of their vendor search.
There are so many options now a days, and a lot of the vendors you are probably looking at are insanely talented.
So how do you choose?
Well for starters, you must love their work.
That goes without saying.
However, you should also love the artist, or person you will be interacting with.
After looking at the portfolio I always head to the “About Me Page”.
I’m looking for information on how I’d relate to this person.
Ohhh girl you love The Notebook? SAME!
I agree, the beach gives me life.
Well you get the point.
Find an artist that speaks to you, FaceTime, have a conversation and make sure your visions line up.

Lauren hits all points for me. This girl has insane talent, and is the sweetest, just a perk.
I loved that she named her business after her grandfather, who also ran a small business.
She completely gets my vision, so I’m able to just let her do her thing, knowing it’ll be a beautiful product at the end.
Also she is just a down to earth type of gal you can just have a great conversation with.
I truly recommend checking her out for any custom calligraphy work.
She nails it every time.

As we’ve discussed in the past, wedding photography can make for an excellent career. Our post “How Much Do Wedding Photographers Make” from earlier this year points out that while salaries vary and it can take some work to establish yourself, it’s a rewarding job. As you might expect though, diving into wedding photography also requires a […]
