Bianca and Martin kicked off the Briar Barn Inn’s very first wedding, EVER, with a bang! I am so excited to share more about them today!
When these two hired me to be their wedding photographer I was so excited. Reason number one, they wanted to include their CATS in their engagement photos. We all know I love all animals, cats can sometimes terrify me, but I still love them. Number two, the Briar Barn Inn was just a sketch at that point, so I was excited to see it come to life. Now I know I should have been the most excited about the cookies (they are SOOOO good). Friends, if you’re thinking about ditching your cakes for warm chocolate chip cookies, I’m not against it.
These two have a great love story, Bianca swiped right! Though many guys wrote to her on Tinder, his clever, “Hey There” got her attention. At the time he lived in NY but was in visiting family, so he had very limited time to try to meet Bianca. Unfortunately Bianca was rocking an eye patch from a scratched cornea, so she dodged all of his attempts. However, they kept in touch.
By the end of the month Bianca made plans to visit Niagara Falls with her friend Ashley. Martin joked that he would make the FIVE hour trek to meet her, naturally as friends do, Ashley encouraged it. So he did! This man drove FIVE hours and went through customs for his first date! Okay, if that is not commitment for a first date I do not know what is. The next part is my personal favorite. Bianca AND Ashley met Martin for a coffee date, and Bianca was so nervous that she refused to make eye contact with him the entire date. They hung out for a few hours then Martin headed back home, but clearly came back to win her over.
In all seriousness, these two are such wonderful people! I am so grateful I got to photograph them as they close one large chapter of their lives, and start a new one as husband and wife!
