If you’re a mompreneur (mom + entrepreneur), you know that time is money! You are busy taking care of a million different things (and people), so anytime you can consolidate and simplify your life, it’s like finding gold! This is why we totally recommend outsourcing some of your business’ tasks. The benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur are all about increasing your efficiency while also freeing up your time. It’s a win-win!

Let’s take a deeper look at what the benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur really are…

#1 – Outsourcing increases your efficiency

One of the top benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur is being able to hand off tasks in your business that don’t come easily to you. As the owners of Second Fiddle, a company that specializes in online content creation and Pinterest strategy, we have heard from numerous mompreneur clients about how hard it is to find time to sit down and do things like write blog posts and schedule social media content. Maybe for you, it’s your monthly accounting, website design, or marketing campaigns that slow you down.

The truth is: you don’t have to do it all. You actually weren’t made to! You started your business to share your unique skills, services, and/or products with the world, and that’s what you should get to focus on.

By outsourcing these difficult, time-consuming tasks to experts who specialize in these areas, you’ll finally have more time to focus on what you excel in. Plus, these specialists will probably complete these tasks faster than you could have on your own, too. The overall efficiency of your business will go waaaay up!

#2 – Grow your business with outsourcing

You know that extra time that outsourcing gives you? This means you’ll have more capacity to focus on growing your business. Sometimes, all of the monotonous, routine tasks of running a business can keep you from being able to work toward expanding. Afterall, there’s only one you and only so many hours in a day!

Outsourcing is awesome for mompreneurs because it allows you to shift your focus from survival, maintenance mode to all the ways your business can grow and expand.

You can now take on those projects you’ve wanted to say “yes” to, but logistically couldn’t manage. Or, you can pursue new client relationships and networking opportunities. Maybe you can even get away for that business retreat or training you’ve been interested in.

#3 – The benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur = better results for less work

Another one of the major benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur is this: bringing in better results for your business by utilizing experts!

Outsource your SEO and digital marketing efforts for better results

In this day and age, a successful business needs to have a strong internet presence that attracts visitors to the business’ website. Search engine optimization (SEO), which is how you get your website to appear as one of Google’s top search results for a given topic, plays a large role in strengthening your internet presence.

Yet, it takes a very intentional and somewhat time consuming process to develop solid SEO practices for your website. As a busy mompreneur, you probably don’t have time for this! So, handing off your website content and digital marketing efforts to a business that specializes in these areas is a great place to start outsourcing.

Why Pinterest and photo blogs are great for attracting website traffic

In our own business, we have found that Pinterest marketing combined with strategic blog posts have greatly helped our clients find new customer leads and increase traffic to their websites (especially for wedding photographers).

Here’s an example that demonstrates why: when a bride uses Pinterest to search for wedding planning ideas, she wants to see photos of real weddings and wedding day inspiration. She may search Pinterest for “summer wedding in Boston.” On the search results page, the bride will come across one of your photos, like what she sees, click on your Pinterest Pin, and then click to visit your site. It’s an easy-peasy way to bring new visitors to your site and increase the likelihood that they get in touch with you!

However, putting together blog posts, posting your content to Pinterest, writing captions to make your posts appear at the top of Pinterest’s search results, etc. takes time and strategy. We love tackling these tasks for our clients and seeing the results of increased web traffic pour in for them!

#4 – Outsourcing helps mompreneurs not be overwhelmed

Being a mompreneur isn’t just one job. It’s an endless amount of job titles wrapped up in one, including:

• Mom

• CEO

• Teacher

• Social Media Coordinator

• Chauffeur

• Customer Service Representative

• Chef

• CFO

• Manager

• Marketing Strategist

• And more!

This list could go on a lot longer, but you get the point. That is an insane workload to demand of any one person! It can be overwhelming for even the most organized, productive people. This is where outsourcing comes in: shortening your list of job titles will totally help save your sanity and make you feel more peaceful.

We really believe this is one of the most important benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur. Outsourcing isn’t just about making your business more successful. It’s also about taking care of yourself so that you aren’t constantly feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Running your business should be exciting and rewarding. If you try to do it all on your own, it probably won’t be much fun, and you’ll lose the inspiration that made you start your own business in the first place.

#5 – Increase the flexibility in your life with outsourcing

Another one of the best benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur is the flexibility it gives you. If you know you’re going to need some time off for a vacation or that your schedule is going to be more hectic, outsourcing is especially helpful. You can have the team(s) you’ve outsourced to work ahead and maybe even hand off extra tasks to them to take care of when you can’t. Especially as a mom with a full family schedule, this is a lifesaver!

We often work ahead with our clients in creating their blog content and Pinterest posts. That way, when a busy time comes around, such as the holiday season, or when you need some time off with your family, you have the flexibility to work less. Your blog posts and Pinterest marketing will still help drive traffic to your site, even if you’re not actively working on these areas. It really pays to have content that keeps working, even when you’re taking time off!

#6 – Outsourcing is a cost-effective option for mompreneurs

As entrepreneurs ourselves, we know that running a small business often means you need to maximize every dollar you spend investing in your business. Let’s be honest: there isn’t always a ton of extra cash laying around!

A pregnant woman smiles while embracing her belly and standing in her yard as she prepares experience The Benefits of Outsourcing as a Mompreneur.

We love that outsourcing is actually a more cost-effective option for entrepreneurs.

If you were to hire an employee for your business, you’d incur more administrative costs: payroll taxes, employee benefits, etc.

On the other hand, outsourcing these same tasks to someone outside of your company allows you to avoid these expenses. Instead, you’re more likely to just be paying for the services themselves, so it’s a direct investment in areas that will help your business thrive and grow!

Plus, outsourcing allows you to work with people who are specialists in their field…and you are now getting access to all their expertise. That’s a great deal!

The benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur are so worth it

The bottom line is that the benefits of outsourcing as a mompreneur will save you so much time and energy and will help take your business to the next level! You’ll have more time to focus on what matters to you: your family, your own self-care, and the elements of your business that you’re most passionate about. What’s not to love about that?!
