6 Luxury Boston Wedding Venues
#1 – The State Room Boston
If you’re looking for luxurious Boston wedding venues with a chic, modern edge, The State Room is absolutely one to check out! This epic venue is at the top of an incredible skyscraper in downtown Boston, which gives unparalleled views over the city.
You have a selection of celebration spaces to choose from here at this venue. However, the absolute standout has to be the Great Room. With two stories of glass windows overlooking the heart of Boston, a dramatic floating staircase, and a mezzanine overlook, this striking room will keep your guests talking all by itself. There are several smaller rooms for more intimate celebrations, all with amazing views. #2 – The Boston Public Library
I think the Boston Public Library is one of the most unique Boston wedding venues on this list. What a way to celebrate the city’s role in your love story! This venue is epic in scope and so packed with historic details. It’s a backdrop that could lend itself to something totally quirky and whimsical or absolutely elegant and grand.
You have quite a few room choices at this venue. The most impressive – and iconic – is the Mckim Bates Hall. With a huge domed ceiling and walls lined with books, this setting is worthy of the most luxurious wedding celebrations. The other room that really deserves a shoutout is the McKim Abbey Room. This gorgeous room’s wood paneling and warm light give it such a lavish and intimate feel, while the rich historical details make it so special. If you’re leaning towards Boston wedding venues that feel historic and impressive, the Boston Public Library could be perfect for you.
#3 – Boston Harbor Hotel
This exquisitely luxurious hotel has everything you could wish for in your Boston wedding venues. Right on the waterfront, The Boston Harbor Hotel has a team of creative consultants and a top-of-the-line culinary line-up to help you craft the perfect day.
As far as locations go, they have a huge grand ballroom and several impressive reception rooms. You can use these for your ceremony or dinner. By far the most impressive and popular space, though, is the Pavilion. It is a round, domed building right on the wharf, with 360-degree windows looking right out onto the water. Plus, you get a lot of great add-ons when you book your wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel. This includes a wedding night suite and a free pair of Jimmy Choo shoes (!!).
#4 – 2101 Commonwealth
This 1927 building belongs to Boston College and actually houses the McMullen Museum of Art. This is one of those classic Boston wedding venues in that it is such a combo of historic detailing, rich artistry, and modern chic. With gorgeous lawns and gardens around it and a soaring historic facade, this is such a striking and romantic place to get married. Inside, you have historic detailing in the rooms – not to mention the amazing art!
So many of the reviews of this venue mention the incredible team who works here. They are a group of dedicated professionals who work with you to help you design the perfect day. Hold your ceremony outside on the lawn or indoors in one of the beautiful rooms available, then serve cocktail hour on the patio or, even better, on the rooftop. When you’re ready for dinner and dancing, head down to a beautiful tent out on the grass and party the night away!
#5 – Granite Links Golf Club
This luxurious venue is worth being a little bit out of town purely for the spectacular views of the Boston skyline that it offers! Granite Links Golf Club has won plenty of recognition for its excellent weddings – and rightly so. This place is one of the most elegant Boston wedding venues, with simple ballrooms that emphasize incredible natural light with big windows and pale color schemes.
If you’re looking for Boston wedding venues that feel a little closer to nature, but still have all the polish of a luxurious venue, the Granite Links could be absolutely perfect for you. The ballroom deck that opens out over the course, and the incredible views of Boston are a real highlight here. You can have an indoor celebration in one of their beautiful reception rooms. Alternatively, you can choose to go for an outdoor reception on the lawn; and the same goes for your ceremony.
#6 – Emerson Colonial Theatre
This theatre is pretty jaw-dropping! Definitely one of the most dramatic Boston wedding venues, this will give your guests a night they won’t forget! The lavish details of this historic theatre would make such a striking backdrop for your celebrations. It really evokes that special-occasion sense of wonder and excitement; which is exactly what you want for the most important day of your life!
Make a triumphant entry through the glittering foyer and go through the grand staircases up to a selection of smaller, private rooms that you can host your dinner in. This is one of the Boston wedding venues that lends itself to more intimate gatherings. But what it lacks in capacity it more than makes up for in visual impact!
